MOGAMMA is proud to have contributed to the winning bid for Sydney Metro West Stations Package, producing a comprehensive suite of 11 images across two of the five new stations set to transform how Sydney moves.
The multi-billion dollar contract was awarded to Gamuda, and the new 24-kilometer underground metro line will deliver five stations connecting Greater Parramatta to Sydney's CBD, with completion targeted for 2032. It is one of the most significant pieces of transport infrastructure currently underway in Australia, and the visualisations needed to match that ambition. These images needed to be treated not as spectacle, but as a clear articulation of how architecture, landscape and public space come together at a civic scale.
Working across two distinct station contexts, each with its own architectural language and design team, MOGAMMA developed a visual approach that responded to the specific qualities of each location while maintaining a cohesive standard across the full suite.

The Bays station sits in the shadow of the White Bay Power Station, surrounded by a landscape shaped by decades of heavy industrial use. Stewart Architecture's design, paired with TCL's landscaping vision, reimagines this concrete terrain as a generous and activated public realm. Our images focused on the transformation of the ground plane, showing how extensive parkland, pedestrian connections and carefully considered planting could bring life and safety to a precinct long defined by its industrial character.

The challenge at The Bays was one of contrast: communicating the softness of the proposed landscape against the raw, hard-edged context of the existing site. The visualisations needed to hold both realities in tension, allowing the viewer to understand the scale of the intervention without losing sight of the place as it stands.

Westmead integrates with existing train, light rail and bus services in an established neighbourhood. Our images for Neeson Murcutt Neille's concept showed how the new metro station would connect into the broader transport network while respecting local character, with TCL leading landscaping to unify the public realm across the precinct. The challenge was demonstrating connectivity across all transport modes without overwhelming the existing urban fabric.

Across both stations, the visual strategy was grounded in restraint and precision. These are not images designed to sell a lifestyle, they are tools for communicating complex design decisions at multiple scales, from the urban diagram down to the materiality of a handrail.

Infrastructure projects of this nature carry a particular responsibility. They shape the daily experience of millions of people over decades. Visualisation plays a quiet but essential role in that process, ensuring the intent behind the architecture is understood and evaluated with clarity.
MOGAMMA is grateful to the design teams and delivery partners for the opportunity to contribute, and proud to have played a part in a project that will shape Sydney's transport network for decades to come.
